Trees

What better way to relax, to improve your sense of well-being than by walking, one foot in front of the other. For me it is especially true by walking through a woodland, a forest, surrounded by majestic trees, to be enveloped in their ancient, wise presence. I can’t help feeling like that. Trees mean the world to me!

Lines

These lines: ‘traces of movement’ and at the same time ‘moving lines’ in themselves. Very few things are unambiguous, there are always layers, reflective layers, different meanings, there is always a beautiful complexity that one can choose to lovingly embrace.

grieving

I am feeling really sad today. My mother died almost six months ago and there are days it still really hits me. When sadness is overwhelming me, so much is happening in body and mind: a powerful force pushes to express, to put into words, to allow distress, to be still, to feel the release, to take the time to let it settle and to look outward again, to feel and be again connected with the here and now, to become active again and to enjoy the beauty of life.

Repetition

Several times a week I take the same route when walking the dog. There is such a joy in repetition and realising that it is never the same: now there is sun, then rain, wind, clouds; fields with and then without a crop; a meadow with cows and then they have moved to another field …everyday you see things you never saw before…movement, change is always happening: around and in me…it is beautiful and moving…
