Wordless joy

It is hard for me to put into words what it means to me to walk amongst trees. When I am walking towards the forest, the anticipation already puts a spring in my step. Then, when I am in the forest, amongst the trees, something so joyful happens: I feel I am entering a world I know, there is this exchange that happens, a wordless communication, it is as if I am receiving and giving a huge hug. It is a truly wordless, deep joy and happiness. I feel so grateful and honoured that I can be and walk amongst these gracious, living entities.

Stillness and Movement

Doing some exercise in a quiet spot in the forest, in the presence of the mighty trees, the twittering of birds, the sniffing of the dog and the gentle sounds of the forest. Creating movement in today’s very still environment. Stillness and movement in me and in the forest. We are one.

Repetition

Several times a week I take the same route when walking the dog. There is such a joy in repetition and realising that it is never the same: now there is sun, then rain, wind, clouds; fields with and then without a crop; a meadow with cows and then they have moved to another field …everyday you see things you never saw before…movement, change is always happening: around and in me…it is beautiful and moving…
